Built-in Barbeque - Using Texas Stone Supplies

As a Texas provider of stone supplies, we are always happy to offer tips and ideas on the many ways to use stone. We recently completed a project in Round Rock using some of our own stone supplies, including the chopped limestone and flagstone you see below.

We used chopped limestone for the sides of this built-in barbecue. This stone is similar to the white stone on the front and sides of this house (not seen in the photo above). For the horizontal surfaces, we used Oklahoma flagstone to tie into the flagstone used elsewhere in the owner's backyard.

The finished product is pictured below. The homeowners are very happy with their new built-in BBQ, and they have informed us that they recently "christened" the grill with steaks and burgers at a backyard party!

Round Rock Landscaping - Part 2

In the last post, we mentioned a recent landscaping project in Round Rock. Here is the result of that project. The red line indicates the patio expansion.

Round Rock patio expansion

As we mentioned previously, the homeowners had an area behind their pool that was overrun with weeds (because of the greenbelt area you can see behind their house).

To create a seamless solution, we built a flagstone patio expansion using Oklahoma patio stone. This stone matches the stone border around the pool ... we provided that stone as well when the pool was being built a couple years ago.

The end result of this Round Rock landscaping project is less maintenance, more usable space, and a seamless expansion of the current patio space using stone that ties into the pool's border.

Round Rock Landscaping Project

Our crew is currently working on a backyard landscaping project in Round Rock, just down the road from our Cedar Park location. We will have pictures coming soon ... possibly even some before-and-after shots.

The Challenge
The homeowners have a pool in their backyard, the backyard opens up to a greenbelt area. As with most greenbelts, the area behind the house is wild with native plants, weeds, etc. This makes the area behind the pool a weed-control challenge.

The Solution
To solve the "weed invasion" problems, these Round Rock homeowners have decided to hardscape the area behind the pool. So we are putting in a flagstone patio in between the back of the pool and the iron fence to the greenbelt area. This will increase the amount of usable space in the backyard, while also making it a low-maintenance area for the homeowners.

We will have photos of this Round Rock landscaping project coming soon, and we will post them here on the blog.

Stay tuned!
